Scott Lazarov
Scott Lazarov has been dancing and teaching dance for more than fifteen years. An experienced athlete, he became passionate about dancing when he realized it combines the commitment, strength, and athleticism of any sport with the creativity and personal expression of any art.
He was the first student teacher to be certified in multiple levels within one year. And while at Arthur Murray's he won the Top Teacher award there year after year.
Scott was recruited to Philadelphia to partner a professional dancer and with this partner and others he has won numerous titles, including finalist placements in the US Salsa Championships and US Rising Star Championships. He has also been a finalist in the World Salsa Championships as well the US and World Mambo Championships.
Scott taught at the Academy of Social Dancing in Philadelphia before taking charge of Dancesport Academy, and has won numerous Top Teacher awards at the most prestigious competitions . He has also danced pro-am for many years with many students who consistently bring home top honors.
