Located in the heart of downtown Ardmore, PA, The DanceSport Academy's spacious and sophisticated ballroom is an ideal venue for hosting many different events. Indulge in the charming second-floor view, overlooking the comings and goings of the town. This state-of-the-art, custom-built facility provides a distinctive backdrop for a variety of private social gatherings, such as holiday parties, corporate functions, wedding receptions, birthdays, bar mitzvahs, charity events, and cocktail receptions. Our 1800 square foot venue is within walking distance of an R5 train station, and only a twenty minute drive from Center City, Philadelphia.
World Class Interior Design
The Academy's relaxing and welcoming atmosphere is unique - creating a one-of-a-kind space that appeals to any client, and motivates any style of dance. The high-ceilinged dance hall, equipped with hard-wood floors, receives ample sunlight through many large windows. Warm-colored walls and custom, upscale sconces enhance the natural light and intimate atmosphere, giving our venue the inviting tone of a chic Mediterranean villa. Three stunning chandeliers add elegance to the old-world ambiance.
The Latin enchantment travels into a separate room, which has a second dance floor. Our comfortably-furnished foyer's hand-painted mosaics, found along the four corners of an inlaid sisal rug, add accents reminiscent of the Italian countryside to the floor's continental tiling.
At Your Service
You can furnish our bar space to suit the needs of your occasion. Take advantage of our advanced surround-sound system and vast music collection, which includes a variety of Latin, Ballroom and popular songs of today and all eras. Upon request, we are available to teach a group lesson for adult guests, coordinate games and lessons for children's parties, or even perform a dance show to spice up your event!
Art Gallery
Our collection of paintings by the world-renowned artist Allen Bentley, hanging against walls of soft golden hues, adds extra panache to the decor. These oils on canvas are courtesy of the Bridgette Mayer Gallery – one of the hottest art galleries in the Philadelphia area. The artwork, representing timeless movements and interactions between dancers in contemporary flourishes of color, is currently for sale.
