Aideen O'Malley
Aideen O'Malley began teaching at DanceSport Academy in May, 2006. Growing up in Wayne, P.A. she began her study of ballet over twenty years ago, and has been dancing ever since. She trained in the Vaganova method, mainly with Novak and Kovolska's Main Line Ballet, for which she performed a myriad of leading roles such as Esmerelda in the eponymous ballet, Kitri in Don Quixote, the Russian Princess in Swan Lake, and various roles in The Nutcracker such as the Sugar Plum Fairy and the Arabian Dance.
She has also studied and performed with Wayne Ballet and Center for Dance Arts. Aideen performed professionally with former Prima Ballerina and Ballet Mistress of the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo Nina Novak's Venezuelan Classical Ballet Company in Caracas, Venezuela.
Aideen began a comprehensive teachers' training program at DanceSport Academy in competitive Latin and Ballroom in July of 2005. Since that time she has performed at many events, such as the 125th anniversary of the Philadelphia Charity Ball in 2005. She earned a Bachelor of English Literature degree from Temple University. In addition to teaching at the Academy, Aideen works as its marketing director, handling communications and advertising materials in support of the school.
